Chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, or ginger snap. Honestly, I just want to roll in all the cookies, nom, nom, nom…LOL! Hello my name is Cookie, and like my namesake, I’m all sweet and ooey gooey in the middle. My favorite things in the world are feathers on the ends of those sticks and catnip. And did I mention I’m in the community room, sharing my toys with the other cats? So let’s meet. I’ll bring the cookies if you bring the milk. Contact the shelter today so we can have our own picnic!

PetS of the Week - Adult Cats

Help! We are in the middle of a “cat-astrophe.” We are up to our whiskers in cats!

So many adopters are looking for kittens this time of year and quite often our beautiful and loving adult cats are overlooked.

Here are reasons you should consider falling in love with an adult cat!

*They are good for the heart. Owning a cat could reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease, according to the University of Minnesota.

*Their purrs have healing powers.

*They are low maintenance.

*They are independent.

*They provide emotional support.

*Most require little grooming.

*They help deter unwanted pests.

All of our cats have a waived adoption fee! Their adoption includes spay and neuter surgery, microchipping, vaccinations, deworming, flea preventative, and an FELV/FIV test.

If you are interested in meeting some of our beautiful adult cats, please send us a message or call the shelter at (410)441-2040 to make an appointment!

I'm looking for a good conversationalist. These days you humans have your noses stuck on your phones texting, scrolling through your news feeds and posting your observations. All. Day. Long. While I'm over here like, can't we just talk? I'm Pulaski and I want to know your favorite foods, your hobbies, what makes you smile, everything. I'll even talk back if you want me to! I'll rub against your legs and wait patiently for you to run your hand over my soft fur. I'm sweet like that. So let's meet over coffee.

Email my assistants at adopt@harfordshelter.org and tell them you want to talk to me, Pulaski!

Pet of the Week - Iris

Iris here! I'm a staff favorite who's down-to-earth, easy-going and fun-loving. I'm looking for a new forever family who also enjoys the following:
- Stuffed toy obsessions are a MUST!!!
- Someone who can appreciate my constant hugs and kisses ;)
- A comfortable bed where I will most definitely take up all the room is without question.... duh
- Horror movie marathons are necessary (I will want to sleep with the lights on after.....oops)
- Overall I just want someone who can give me all the love and attention that I'll give them

I don't think I'm asking for toooo much. So fire up your phone or laptop and email adopt@harfordshelter.org with the subject line of IRIS. Let's get this thing rolling!
