Program Manager: Provides programmatic oversight for the City's contract of water and wastewater services with Aberdeen Proving Ground, and leads a small team in performing maintenance duties.
Salary: Up to mid-90's depending on qualifications
Maintenance Worker (Entry Level): We are currently seeking an entry level Maintenance Worker for our Public Works Department. The Public Works Department constructs, repairs, and maintains parks, streets and other City owned facilities. The DPW also operates and maintains underground utilities such as water, sewer and stormwater systems. This position performs tasks within facilities and public rights-of-way such as snow removal and other weather-related events. Candidate will be expected to work both individually and with a crew as needed. In addition, support is provided for a variety of community special events. The work can be physically demanding and unclean, and may be subject to respond during emergencies on a 24-hour basis and may be required to work occasional evening, weekends, or holidays during special events.
Salary: $14.91/hr,

Plant Operator Trainee: Under close supervision, responsible for learning and performing a variety of duties designed to give training and experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of the water and wastewater treatment systems. We operate 24/7, this position requires shift work, weekends, and holidays.
Salary: $14.91/hr
Lateral Police Officer (Traffic Safety Officer): Responsible for protecting citizens and property. Patrols assigned areas, responds to calls, enforces laws, makes arrests, issues citations, and occasionally testifies in court cases. The Traffic Safety Officer position requirements include: At least 3 years of law enforcement experience Certified in Lidar and Radar Certified in Field Sobriety Testing Must be able to apply for and manage State and Federal grants Prefer skills in accident reconstruction and intoximeter certification. Police Officers may be required to work overtime as necessary with little or no notice; must be able to adapt to changes in working conditions such as schedules (nights, weekends, and holidays), changing shift configurations, and variables of weather; may be required to use deadly force; and must be able to safely perform the duties of the position without posing a threat to the health and safety of themselves or others. Candidates must be of good moral character and emotionally stable.
Salary: $47,927 ($52,724 upon successful completion of one-year probationary period)

Police Officer (Entry Level - Recruit): This is an entry-level position without police authority or powers until completion of training and certification received. Upon successful testing and completion of all requirements, candidates will be placed on an eligibility list for entrance into the Police Academy. Candidates must successfully complete the required training and probationary period and must pass a background investigation, polygraph examination, physical examination, and emotional and psychological fitness examination. The Police Officer is responsible for protecting people and property. He or she patrols assigned areas, responds to calls, enforces laws, makes arrests, issues citations, and occasionally testifies in court cases. Police Officers make traffic stops, respond to domestic disturbances, and may provide first aid in accident/emergency situations until paramedics arrive. Police Officers may be required to work overtime as necessary with little or no notice; must be able to adapt to changes in working conditions such as schedules (nights, weekends, and holidays), changing shift configurations, and variables of weather; may be required to use deadly force; and must be able to safely perform the duties of the position without posing a threat to the health and safety of themselves or others. Candidates must be of good moral character and emotionally stable.
