Shock-O-Con is Havre de Grace’s first ever full-sized horror convention. Join us for a weekend of thrills and chills at the STAR Centre as we bring you an amazing selection of both local and national vendors, including The Last Toy Store, Nevermore Designs, Baby Bat Beauty and more, as well as performances, film presentations, ghost tours by Havre de Grace Haunts, a tattoo demo and flash sale by Instant History Tattoo, contests, and some surprise guests you won’t believe! We’re adding some family friendly spooky fun for kids of all ages as well, so join us for food trucks, monster face painting, and ghost tours of beautiful and historic Havre de Grace. To top all of that off, we have a stand-alone event on Saturday evening that will “creep” you up all night!

Countdown to 2023 with our annual duck drop followed by a spectacular midnight fireworks display.
The festivities start at 10:30, with the Duck Drop and Fireworks happening at Midnight, sponsored by the Susquehanna Hose Company.

Grammy nominated artist Scott Sharrard, lead vocals and guitar for the legendary rock band Little Feat, will be coming to the STAR on November 5!
Scott Sharrard spent nearly a decade as lead guitarist and bandleader to the late Gregg Allman. Their partnership included "My Only True Friend" which was co-written by Sharrard and Allman and earned a Grammy nomination for Americana Song of the Year. In addition to his work as a solo artist and with Little Feat, Scott is a passionate educator of all styles of American Roots Music. Scott will be joined by Ron Holloway, Craig Dreyer, Tony Leone, and Bill Kelly for their ALL STAR JAM on November 5th right here in Havre de Grace!

An annual two-day event that celebrates the past, present and future culture of the Havre de Grace waterfront and surrounding waterfront areas.

It all kicks off Friday night with a lighted boat parade. Power and sailboats of all shapes and sizes will travel along the shoreline to the Amtrak Bridge and back, while folks on land enjoy steel drum music, food trucks, vendors, and beer garden.
This event also extends into the downtown area on Saturday with a crab soup contest among the restaurants and special in-store promotions.

Steppingstone’s Summer Fun Day is just around the bend, taking place Sunday, July 10th from 11 am to 4 pm. Stop by the Museum located at 461 Quaker Bottom Road in Havre de Grace, MD for a day full of summer excitement.
There will be loads of kid’s activities; games, races, ice cream eating contest and crafts. Along with lawnmower racing and a car, motorcycle and tractor show from 11 am to 3 pm and exhibits galore.

When the world goes into hibernation and endless days of Netflix binging, what better way to bring people out for a weekend of fun and entertainment than with Havre de Grace Ice Festival’s “Heroes & Villains!” On January 15-16, 2022 this FREE event transforms our city into a magical winter wonderland with beautifully lit ice sculptures of all your favorite heroes and villains.
Collaborations with the City of Havre de Grace, downtown merchants, non-profits and other groups create an overall experience that is a family-friendly showcase of Havre de Grace’s charm in all her winter splendor.
Experience the live ice carving demonstrations, bands, artisans, chili cook-off, live theatre performances, kids’ stations, contests, in-store specials, food trucks, costumed characters, street performers, live radio broadcasts, outdoor hot toddy bar, fire pits, s’mores and more. You can even try your hand at ice sculpting by carving your name into our graffiti wall or join in the kids’ parade and be crowned Ice Prince or Princess!

The final Friday Cruise Night of the season is coming up on October 16. Kick off your weekend with classic cruisers, 50/50 raffles and delicious food from Mad Mac, the MacGregors food truck.
WHGM Gold will be on site with Steve Mann broadcasting the Gold Happy Hour. The fun is from 4 until 7.
The storied tradition of Eventing at beautiful Fair Hill continues with the inaugural Maryland 5 Star to be held at the newly constructed Fair Hill Special Event Zone in Elkton, MD (Cecil County). One of only two 5 Star events in the United States, and seventh worldwide, the prestigious 5 Star (CCI5*) designation is the pinnacle of the sport of eventing, best described as an equestrian triathlon. Arriving in October 2021, the event marks a new chapter for the state of Maryland’s prestigious horse and equestrian tradition. The event will showcase four days of competition in Dressage, Cross Country, and Show Jumping.
