Meet at the Brian T. Rushnock Amphitheater to learn about such topics as: Wildlife-Friendly Yards; Leave No Trace; Phenology and Community Science; Bug Camp; Seed Saving Principles; Ornamental Invasives; Wild Flower ID; Tree Seed Development, Identification, and Dispersal; Birds in Your Backyard. The 15th Annual Secret Garden Tour of Havre de Grace and Garden Mart-Plant Sale will take place on Saturday and Sunday, the 15th and 16th of May. The Tour and the Garden Mart are hosted by the Gardens de Grace Club and benefit the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum and Environmental Center. The gardens are kept secret until the day of the event, when ticket holders receive their brochure with the addresses and descriptions of each Garden. Havre de Grace has extraordinary gardens, and the tour has, in the past included gardens along the Chesapeake Bay, the Winner of the Baltimore Sun Small Garden Award, Gardens in the colors of the owner’s favorite sports team, a Zen Oasis, theme gardens and many more. Plein Air artists will be painting in the gardens both days. Ticket holders may choose which day they wish to attend, or they can visit both days. Tour tickets are $25. available at the HdeG Maritime Museum, Amanda’s Florist, the Havre de Grace Visitor’s Center and Concord Point Coffee, as well as on Eventbrite. The gardens are open from 12:00 o’clock to 5 o’clock Saturday and Sunday.
The Garden Mart is free to attend and features vendors selling vigorous, locally-grown natives, perennials, annuals, hanging baskets, herbs and vegetable plants and Nature-inspired artisans and crafters selling their wares. Other activities will take place as well as food trucks will be available both days. The Garden Mart will be open from 10:00 o’clock to 6:00 Saturday and Sunday.

The Havre de Grace Ambulance Corps will host Food Truck Sundays beginning Sunday, May 16 and will run every Sunday (except July 4) until September 26 from 4pm - 8pm in our Pavilion located to the rear of our Station. There will be 5-7 different food trucks every week as well as Live music, venders and a local brewery. Fun for the entire family.
